Reel & Heal has retreat opportunities waiting for you and the women you know who are surviving breast cancer.

Reel & Heal’s mission is to introduce women in recovery from breast cancer to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing by providing a unique outdoor experience, a renewed perspective, new friendships, and a very special source of hope. The enlightening results experienced by the participants, over a two-and-a-half day period, can become a powerful resource and assist in their overall recovery from breast cancer.

Experience indicates that many survivors have had no one with whom they might interact, who has been through a similar traumatic experience. These are, perhaps, the most valuable acquisitions of the retreats. These strong relationships that are formed in a few days can last a lifetime!

We offer New Participant breast cancer retreats, which offer a program that incorporates fly fishing instruction and social support. It is open to any woman who has been diagnosed and is battling or recovering from breast cancer. Retreats are led by professional facilitators and experienced fly fishing instructors. Reel & Heal provides all meals, lodging, and fly fishing equipment. No previous fishing experience is required. There is a nominal fee to attend.

We provide many elements for all participants to enjoy: great programs, great staff, great locations, and most importantly, great experiences.

Our organization is non-profit and staffed solely by volunteers. We anticipate expanding our programs into other states in the future, and we are actively perusing grants, donations, and funding from a variety of individuals and sponsors to make this happen.
