A co-worker was going thru breast cancer and heard about Reel & Heal and asked if I would go with her being a breast cancer survivor for 16 years. When she said it was a breast cancer support trip my first thought was no I am done with those as most of them were depressing when I was battling breast cancer. But as soon as she told me it was fly-fishing instruction, which she knew I couldn't resist as I love to fish and always wanted to learn how to fly-fish, I couldn't say no. I am so glad I went on that weekend trip. It has to be one of the best experiences I have ever had.

I could add hope and support to the woman battling the disease, there is life after breast cancer. The whole group was strangers the 1st hour but after that we all seemed to form such a bond. I made new friends for life.

Anyone battling breast cancer should defiantly attend one of these retreats when you are out with nature you forget everything you are facing and you will form friendships that will last a life time.

I look forward to the reunion retreats as not only will I be able to see everyone from our weekend but hopefully I will meet new lifetime friends as well.
